Sakagura BGC provided a truly memorable dining experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the authentic Japanese ambiance and warm hospitality. The menu offered a delightful range of dishes, all expertly prepared and full of flavor. Every bite was a treat, and we loved our entire stay there. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a genuine taste of Japan!
Great ambiance, good food, great service. Rose has been very accommodating. They offered us free taste for the sake—it was a whole new experience. We sat at the sushi bar and it was fun watching the chefs make the food—very skillful. It was a wonderful dining experience!
Everything we ate is yummy and tasted and looked premium (given the price). My only thing is I hope it would get cooler in the whole restaurant, given that it’s just also small and quite cramped. It was very hot in the table near the door, and we were eating grilled food with the charcoal and everything in our table. Despite that I love the ambience of the place, but it can be more dim and cozy. Would love to try their sake next time, but would it be possible to have shots instead of having to get the bottles only? There’s A LOT of selection and I’d love to sample them.
Great atmosphere, feels very much like a quaint and nostalgic big Japanese city downtown izakaya. Proactive, attentive service. The food is understated, but also creative with its flavors (especially acidity to match the umami) and ultimately satisfyingly delicious. They also make great cocktails!
