One of my favorite chains growing up in Manila. But now, I don’t have to go to Malate. Ordered the standard bbq chicken with java rice, and it hasn’t changed. Still good as ever. Tried something new in the ampalaya with beef and black bean sauce, and that will also be another favorite of mine in this very favorite chain.

Last Sunday was a busy day even at 3pm so we didn’t end up eating here. We tried to visit on a Saturday today at 2pm. Service was so-so but we’re satisfied with the food. I almost didn’t get my cash change if i were not attentive. I paid split via debit and cash. The waiter returned my card and gave the receipt but forgot the change. 🫤 that was a bad ending. Although the Kare kare meat serving is generous, the sauce lacks the peanut taste and is quite runny rather than thick and rich flavor that we prefer. When brought this to the attention of the manager, he said the that food they served are already prepacked and just heating it. If so, why was there at least 30mins waiting time for the food to come out? He only gave us a feedback form for the complaint when in fact we were unsatisfied since their Kare Kare is priced at almost 1k we expected something more than just a prepack food that needs reheating.

Food is hit and miss... Some good, some so-so. The poor service though that you read in the reviews is legit. Staff are unprofessional and no sense of customer service. Missing orders have to be followed up multiple times. As an example, I had ff up 5 different staff for a cup of coffee that they forgot to serve along with other orders. And you can see that most of the staff I ff up the order with didn't even go to the counter. Most staff are ruse and will even outright ignore you.
