Som's has been a longtime Thai restaurant in Makati and they have recently moved from their old location a few blocks away to this new location along Albert Street. Their Pad Thai tastes great and the place is cozy and inviting. The staff is very friendly and accommodating as well.

Ordered via Grab. Satay sauce spilled everywhere. Got the wrong Pad Thai order, supposed to be shrimp which I paid extra for but received the chicken. Food didn’t taste great too unfortunately. Not sure if it’s better quality if we dined in. To add to the disappointment, we called the number to confirm for specific ingredients due to allergies and the person on the other line was condescending and rude.

This place is a good place if you want to experience Thai cuisine. Their "Laksa" is so good yet affordable. May pagka-creamy ang soup pero hindi nakakaumay 'yong coconut milk (gata) n'ya. We also tried padthai, and it's so good for me. You can choose among chicken, pork, or seafood if you want padthai. Kratongtong and chili squid are also good to try. As to their place itself, they don't have their own parking space, but you can park nearby on the side of the streets around the area. the somtam (papaya salad) and khao pad (fried rice with shrimp) was yummy. the pad thai was ok just wish that they used a thinner noodle. the tom yum goong was a little sweet for my taste but it was ok too.

Sometimes even if you're rooting for a place to do well , you just have to accept that change is inevitable. Was a fan of Som's ever since it sprouted up more than a decade ago. I used to travel to Bangkok almost every other month for business. I even used to extend my stay by a few days just to eat so I know how Thai food should taste like.
