I rate a hotel based on its interior aspect and not too much on its facade. I focus more on the cleanliness of the room and the bathroom, the quality of the sheets, linens, mattress and towels were extremely important to me. If a hotel pays attention to these details, then SRT surpassed all my expectations! The towels are bright white and fluffy, the linens were crisp, the pillows and mattresses were so comfy. We loved our stay at Summit Ridge Tagaytay! First things first - it’s amazing that they allow pets in their Paw-approved rooms and the cleaning/pet fee of ₱1,000 was very affordable. Albeit the Paw-approved Room is quite outdated (the vibe, old TV, furnitures, and lightings) we liked how spacious and clean it was. The overlooking view of Taal from the balcony was so calming and adds to the room’s coziness. We stayed here for our 1st Wedding Anniversary and the staff did not disappoint. I booked via Agoda. I had requests made in the app that were granted, for example, a room on a higher floor, to get better views of the Taal Volcano and lake, and a King Bed. We were told that there might be noise from the construction but we hardly heard anything. Check in was a breeze. No hassle. Dirty towels were left in the room and dirt on the bathroom floors. Doors did not close properly and the lock to our verandah was not aligned properly so the door would need to be left ajar slightly in order to lock. Check in and check out process was bizarre. During the check in process, the hotel staff seemed very frantic and disorganized while trying to check in me and another customer. Check out was also weird, at most hotels i can just drop my keys off and head out. Here they made me wait for a decent amount of time after i handed them the keys which was a bit annoying. The ambiance at Summit Ridge Tagaytay is great—peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a weekend getaway. However, I was disappointed with the breakfast. It was advertised as a buffet, but we were served plated meals instead. For the price, I expected more, and it didn’t feel like we were getting our money’s worth.
