Went in solo for my birthday and it was such a great experience for me! This place was recommended online for solo diners who were into tasting menus. Normally you wouldnt find such an option since places who offer tasting menus require minimum of 2pax. I’m so glad I found this gem! I felt so comfortable throughout the experience. Tried many tasting menus in Manila, but Tandem stood out as exceptionally warm, unpretentious, and intimate. Chefs Mikee and Alex personally attended to us and explained each dish with detail and patiently answered all of our questions. The menu was unique - diverse in both flavor and texture, and the story it was accompanied by felt both personal and relatable. The service was outstanding, we were celebrating our dad’s birthday and they surprised us with off-the-menu cake and even gave us sourdough after we jokingly mentioned about buying some. Definitely one of the restaurants to watch out…

I got to try their course menu, “Rice Is Life,” and the non-alcoholic drinks to pair it with. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite and every sip!! Would definitely go back to try other dishes Mikee and Alex will come up with.
