Been to Binondo a lot of times already but never got the chance to visit this place until I watched a reel about it. The video was so believable, I knew I had to try this stop. And thankfully, I did! I was missing this for so many years! We ordered their famous fried dumplings and their fluffy tsay mah pao, plus wintermelon drink as refreshment. Their fried dumplings are such culinary treasures, they need to be protected! I’ll definitely revisit, and even reco this place to my family and friends.
We visited this restaurant last Chinese New Year, expecting a large crowd. We waited outside the shop for at least an hour in the heat of the sun. While we understood the situation due to the occasion, some seating outside would have made the wait more comfortable. As for the food, it was very satisfying, especially the pork chop, which was as big as my plate and incredibly flavorful. I wasn't a big fan of their dumplings, as I found the vegetable taste more prominent than the meat, but my friends enjoyed them, so it seems to be a matter of personal preference. The owner was very hands-on, …
I accidentally stumbled upon Tasty Dumplings when I was passing by Masangkay St., one sweaty afternoon. Since it's already lunch time and this place is the nearest resto , I might as well go try their stuff. Upon googling what's the most sought after dish in the resto, which is the Pork Chops, I ordered one , plus soy milk. The pork chop, priced at 195 Philippine pesos, is wider than my head. I think this is one of the best pork chops I tasted , even better than Atoy's and Aling Tuding's. The chops are not oily, have a golden crispy exterior and the meat is soft. The flavors can be described…
I ordered spareribs rice. Lots of meat for the price of 215 pesos it includes a portion of steamed vegetables. Just do not order the pork chop rice it's too thin. Always order spareribs rice or adobo rice. (not sure if its adobo btw) The meatball soup was average. Don't like it much. Anyway the atmosphere gives a 90s vibes. Plus there a cute customer girl always looking at me 😂
Enjoyed a good meal at Tasty Dumplings in Manila. The rice with spare ribs was well-seasoned. The fried dumplings were tasty, crispy on the outside, although slightly standard inside. This restaurant offers a decent attempt at authentic Chinese cuisine with friendly service. Worth a visit if you’re in the area and have a craving for Chinese food in Manila. 🥟🍖🍚👍🏻
