Big servings food which is value for money. I tried baked tahong which is very tasty and cheesy… i also ordered pork dinuguan, tast is good but a little bit short for sourness… last order is valenciana…its like there something still missing in the recipe compared to my neighbor valenciana. Maybe the sausage and bell peppers… overall one of the best food. experience here in iloilo. The place is huge which can hold big groups.
We had a business trip to Iloilo a week ago and stayed at a hotel in Smallville. I’ve always wanted to eat at Tatoy’s again, and I really missed the fresh oysters there. Everything we ordered was good, except for the squid, which I think was overcooked and became rubbery. We spent around 1,650 for everything.
Considering the amount of food some are quite expensive. Baked Talaba- The Cheese is really good but the talaba is kinda fishy for me. Garlic Butter Shrimp is yummy as you can never go wrong with this Sinabawan na LapuLapu- cost 200+ but not surprised for the amount as their food usually ranges to 350++++ we decide to get rice platter as their cup cost 65 pesos. too pricey for me. a can of soft drink will cost you 95 pesos. If you have an extra budget to spare, you can try this one.
It was my second time eating in this restaurant but 1st time in this branch. The service was chaotic. Took a long time to have our orders served. I also did not like how the tables were arranged. It looked like we were eating in a canteen where you get to watch people eat their food while you are waiting for yours. The buttered garlic shrimp and the garlic rice were too buttery. And one of the servers asked if we could pay in cash instead of a credit card so he could have points from our bill. 😳 I don’t know what that means but I insisted we pay with a credit card.
Had high expectations since it's one of the famous local recommendations, but our dining experience was nothing to rave about. Native chicken was quite underwhelming, and the shrimps were overcooked. Will still give it a chance next time, though.
