Food was really good! The wagyu burger was delicious, & even the onion rings and wedges were lovely. But the tomahawk porkchop was delicious and well prepared... coupled with the cauliflower mash and an a side order of coconut rice, it was splendid! Service was also quite good.

Tucked away in an alcove between the main wing and the expansion wing of Taal Vista Hotel, Taza is a restaurant you definitely want to try if you're in the area. It's quite pricey - as it's a hotel restaurant - but the food is definitely worth the price. I particularly liked their Chicken Liver in Garlic Mezze. It's not the ground up mezze you'd expect, but the flavor notes in this simple dish will surprise you!

Taza was closed but some of their menu was available through the Veranda. The view was nice and the seating was adequately spaced following COVID protocols. We ordered their Hangar steak, pizza, and cauli mash which were good. There wasn't anything spectacular for the price and the serving time was slow even if we went past lunch time. Have to give props to the head waiter who helped fix the steak doneness.

Searched for an alternate place in Tagaytay for lunch as our original target place had like 3 hours waiting time. Yeah yeah the part of the restaurant where reservations allowed was full. So we decided to roll the dice and we lose. So with all the hassle of driving through narrow streets and walking from parking, i thought I'd give myself a break and find one that has a great view of Taal and with 'no-hassle' parking.
