not the typical ramen or japenese resto you see in malls where ramen is around P300 - P500. Here at Tengu youn enjoy their ramen at less than P200. Feels you are really in Japan.
Ate here just before the rush hour, so it was not too crowded. Ordered a Katsudon and Tonkotsu Miso Ramen The food is great for its price (just under 200 for an order of ramen) and atmosphere was pretty nice Update: tried again during the evening rush hour and service was still great! Their ramens, in my opinion, are their best dishes and definitely worth trying.
Cheap Japanese restaurant with good ambiance. I really liked the Kuromayu Shoyu Ramen, really rich flavor enhanced by the black garlic sauce. Taste is similar to Ramen Kuroda. I liked it so much I went back 2 days after. The takoyaki was good with real octopus bits but the sauce is a bit too salty. I ordered two different teishokus (meal sets) for take out, and didn't like it as much. Too many flour-y items, such as the gyoza, karaage, kakiage. Better to dine in to enjoy the food. I also ordered sashimi when I came back, and the price isn't worth it. It's not the freshest, better just orde…
This was near my gym so I gave it a try. Will admit- Price is EXTREMELY good! and quality for the price you pay for is very fair. Atmosphere is pretty good too.
Price of the sashimi changed from 215 to 365 and didnt inform me until I got the bill. If I had the exact amount that I would actually be paying for, things could have been embarassing. Don't be tricked by the price in the menu. Better yet, don't dine there.
