Japanese food is one of my favorite cuisine. When I tasted the Beef udon, the taste did really stand out and tempura too because of freshly fried. Overall Marugame Udon is a place you might want to consider if youre craving japanese cuisine and good food with fairly priced.
TLDR; Affordable Japanese-ish cuisine. Mostly self service. Customizable orders so you can pick what you want. Full Review: Food: The food is good for its price point. It's not too pricey and the serving size is acceptable. The beef yakiniku with chicken teriyaki was delicious. Service/staff: the place is mostly self service but the staff will still assist you as much as they can. They're also very friendly and helpful, particularly the ones at the counter. Ambience: The place is tight. It makes you want to leave right after you eat. Definately an eat and go kinda place. :)
Not the best Marugame branch, but the food stays consistent. Ordered the usual Gyudon with poached egg, with Ebiten as sides. Sauces were consistently refilled and the tempura flakes were constantly being refilled as well The branch is not as tidy as I would hope but the staff were responsive. Overall 10/10 food with a 7/10 everything else.
Mall setup at the upper floors. Marugame in general has increased prices e.g Gyudon fron 200 to 220 pesos while the Fried Tonkatsu increased from 80 to 90 pesos. Well business is business . Still value for money for a quick lunch and snack.
Overall a good place to get good and cheap japanese food. The place feels really cramped and dark. Service is “ok”, they took a bit too long to complete the spam musubi, had to follow up the order and saw they have started prepping it.
