Food was unexpectedly really good. Low key hidden gem tucked away in SM Annex.
Tres is one of my favorite Filipino restaurant, specially their Opus branch. Although the food here were also good, I prefer their Opus branch better. The Crispy Pata kare kare was ok, although their crispy pata was good, the fusion between kare kare and crispy pata was just plain. The Bulalo was indeed fall of the bone soft. The crispy tilapia was also good but typical. What actually surprised me was the ensaladang talong, served cold, with a hint of vinegar. Also the ensaladang ampalaya, which was still crunchy but not too bitter and surprisingly good. We still enjoyed our lunch here.
04.05.2024 Came for early dinner and good thing because after 30mins or so, people started coming. First time to try and it was a good experience. The food was great and delicious . I especially loved their sizzling kare kare (forgot the exact name). It was really tasty and well-cooked. The sisig was nice, calamansi juice was refreshing. The staff are friendly and service is quick.
Went earlier here for lunch. The ambiance was like your typical old fashion filipino room. It was very busy around noon hours so expect to have waiting time coming here. Luckily we were just early enough to be first in line already. After picking out the food we ordered, they already escorted us to our table and provided cold water immediately while waiting. The serving of food was actually quick compared to the number of menu items we ordered. Like 15-20 minutes or so. The food delivered was presented in a unique way like the sisig flowers hung like leaves of a plant, a crispy pata volca…
Good price point for the food that you’re getting. A good selection available, though we had some difficulty getting to the ₱2,300 needed to get a crispy pata for ₱233 (a Father’s Day promotion that is still going). The servers are nice and attentive as well. We got crispy pata, ginataang Inasal na manok, hiyang chow rice, bone marrow sisig rice, sago’t gulaman, crispy lechon Cebu, crispy tilapia. One hundred percent would recommend them all, and would buy them all again! If you could only get one rice and one meat dish though, then get the bone marrow rice and the ginataang manok. 💯
