Went here for a birthday treat yesterday. They have a two for one sushi special from 11AM to 2PM and you pay for the roll with the higher price. I got the Volcano and Bonsai roll and for around 400 pesos the serving is quite generous. The Sushi is just how I like it, absolutely covered in sauce. Also had to try their Japanese curry and it’s just as good as the one I had at Tokyo Narita. 5/5 stars. No complaints.
My wife and I stopped in for lunch. Service was good and most of the food was excellent. I even had some wonderful Vietnamese brewed coffee. I’ve missed that since I moved to Davao City, my previous attempts to get some left me wondering if I’d ever find it here. Well this was the place. My wife ordered seafood udon, which she loved. Good location as it's in the main street, very accessible and easy to find. Welcome host is super! Buffet service is ok, food stations are set accordingly to avoid congestion. Parking and entrance are accessible to physically challenged individuals, information on buffet time and cost is very visible. I just though they need to work on refills as it takes time, maybe due to influx of guests, the main dish menu is simple that makes it not so appealing, hard to find the condiments, no station for it, or maybe there is but not visible, table clearing is slow. The teppanyaki station is ok, and m…
At Tsuru, a Japanese restaurant known for its sushi and sashimi offerings, the experience fell short of expectations due to several disappointing factors. Despite the premium price tag of 600++ for a sashimi platter, patrons were dismayed to find that the selection served was not fresh but rather appeared to be frozen. This lack of freshness detracted significantly from the dining experience, leaving diners feeling unsatisfied and questioning the value of their investment. Moreover, the portion sizes were noted to be small, further exacerbating the feeling of overpricing. Considering the hig…
