A surprising find of a great Japanese restaurant service great sushi, ramen bowls and great al la carte menu options. Ate here several time during my stay in Puerto Princesa and would recommend it to anyone. Julius in front of house was more than welcoming and the rest of the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. I’m hoping to be back.
I always eat here whenever I'm in Puerto Princesa. Legit Japanese restaurant! Price is affordable too.
The place is soulless, sad to say. Nice furnishing, but no wall fixtures and no music… just deathly silence. Service is so-so. Good when the waiters are there. I later learn that these is another section, and so waiters are working both sides. I had to wait a good 5 minutes for change from my bill, despite there being not a single other person in the restaurant. Despite these minor complaints, the food (bento box) was good and I would return.
The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived at lunchtime (1.30pm) so even though the place was nice and clean and well appointed, there was really zero atmosphere to speak of. The service was good and efficient, and the food was pretty good. We ate the sushi matsu and my partner had a sizzling beef pepper rice with an ice tea shake. The beef pepper rice came out really sizzling on a metal platter, but parts of it were still raw when delivered so they needed the platter to actually cook it.
