Dropped by here in UPTC just to wait for our coding hours to end. We decided to eat here in Yabu since we already miss it and we’re kinda hungry because of the traffic. Upon entering, a server approached us and seated us on our table. Handed us their menu and served us house water. This is a plus point to me when it comes to customer service. It felt like they valued their guests. Also, it’s not awkward dining here because you will feel like you’re at home. I can say that the quality of food in this branch is the GOD TIER of all the branches I’ve been to. I told my partner that the quality he…

If you're looking for something a bit more pricey than the usual BonChon or Jollibee meal, Yabu is great. The unlimited rice is a bit overkill since the rice bowls already come with tons of rice, but it's nice to know that you have the option to ask for more. Service is a bit slow, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since medyo madaming tao noon. The starters are really good, especially the mozzarella sticks!!

Newly renovated and more spacious than the old store. Same as with any other branches of Yabu so everything is as expected. Some nuances in this particular branch is during weekends peak meal times the restaurant is always full and there is always a line waiting outside. Also during peak hours its much harder to ask for service as everyone is competing for the staff’s attention. Otherwise everything is as expected.

For years and years I was amazed (and thankful) for the consistent high quality tonkatsu of Yabu. I think with the tonkatsu I had today, the quality may have slipped a little bit. The Rosu was not as moist and juicy as I last remember it (last time was a year ago in Magnolia). I’m just hoping that this was an exception and that Yabu did not succumb to cost-cutting that plagues many successful food businesses as they grow and move their focus away from fantastic to just good enough in order to maximize the almighty peso. I should also mention that the eating experience today was diminished by …

I had to ask thrice for water. We didn’t really get to do the tradition, the sesame thing, which I was really looking forward for my brother to try, it was his first time dining in Yabu. But yeah, no biggie.
