Niceplace in the mall for a quick bite. The sushi is good. The pumpkin side dish is really good. The seaweed salad is also good. They do have very good coffee. The americano is awesome. They also serve Tsingtao beer. It's one of my absolute favorites! They have seats outside the restaurant where you can people watch in the mall. My only complaint was that our server wasn't the most attentive. But she was very friendly.

Zaifu is one of those places that existed ever since Rockwell was built - and I still remember dining here way back in 2001. Even until now, I do not know how it was able to manage to survive despite the presence of other "better" Japanese restaurants over the years. Sumo San had been way popular when it was new, but was pushed out eventually when the food quality declined. Kuretake was another one of those restaurants that I could not imagine would go away, yet it vanished around 2015 to make way for Fireside (which also closed eventually). On the second evening of Japanese food binging this time at Zaifu in Rockwell. The ambience feels like an old Japanese restaurant misplaced in this location. I had the Chirashi don Special and I find it quite pleasing with hefty slices of sashimi and other fried fish. The chawanmushi here though is not as delicate as how I have tasted it but it satisfies. Stay away though from the ramen…hop on to the nearby Ippudo if it’s ramen that you want…just not here in this place!
